One line, nowhere to hide. Fine line (or fineline, or minimal tattoo — whatever you searched for) is the hardest easy tattoo: it has to be right the first time, and stay clean once healed. It's also the most common first tattoo in Patras — and we get why.
What suits fine line
Flowers and branches — rose, lavender, olive branch. Small animals: butterfly, snake, swallow. Symbols and shapes: sun and moon, stars, wave, heart. Writing — names, dates, a single word, short lettering. Single-line designs drawn in one continuous stroke. On the ankle, wrist, collarbone, behind the ear, inner arm, ribs, fingers.

Minimal doesn't mean rushed
A minimal tattoo has few lines, so every line shows. Depth, a steady hand and needle size decide whether in five years it's still thin or has blurred. That's why we don't do fine line 'quickly', and we don't make it smaller than skin can hold. A micro tattoo has a limit — and we'll tell you where it is.
How small it can be
Lines spread a little as skin ages. Letters under a certain height and detailed designs at a very small size become unreadable over the years. We'll suggest the smallest size that will last — and not smaller.
Placements and healing
Ankle, wrist and fingers get a lot of friction and sun, so a fine-line piece there needs a bit more care in aftercare — and possibly a touch-up later. Collarbone, inner arm and ribs heal more evenly. One session, usually under an hour.
Fine line for two
Matching tattoos for friends, couples, siblings: the same design, or two halves that connect. Fine line is the natural style for these — subtle, clean, done the same day for both of you.

All tattoos spread a little. A fine-line piece done at the right depth and size stays clean — and sunscreen is its best friend.
How small can a tattoo be?+
Quite small, but not infinitely. We'll show you the smallest size that will still read years from now.
Does fine line hurt?+
Less than most — one needle, little time. Small pieces are over before you get used to it.

Yes — designs drawn in one continuous line, faces, flowers, animals. They're among the most demanding fine-line work, because there's no second line to fix the first.

On Instagram, in the captions marked 'healed', and in person at the studio. Ask to see healed examples before you decide — for fine line it's the only thing that counts.
