NOSE &
SEPTUM.
A nostril is subtle, a septum is a statement — and can be hidden when it needs to be. Both need the right spot: a few millimetres make all the difference in how it looks and how it heals.
Nostril
The piercing on the side of the nose. The spot is chosen on the curve of your own nostril — where a stud looks like it was always there. Left or right, entirely your call. Initially a titanium stud or labret at the right length; a ring once healed. A high nostril, further up the curve, for a second or more subtle piece.

Septum
The piercing goes through the soft spot below the cartilage (the 'sweet spot') — not through the cartilage itself. That's why the spot is found by touch before piercing, and why the piercing itself is quicker than you fear. Jewellery: a circular barbell (horseshoe) or a clicker. The horseshoe flips up inside the nose and the piercing disappears — for work, for a family dinner, for whatever.

Healing
Nostril: 4–6 months, often with a 'bump' in the first months that goes away with patience and saline. Septum: 2–3 months, with some swelling and tenderness in the first days. For both: don't twist the jewellery, don't change it early, don't pick around it — and yes, sneezing is fine.
How much it hurts
Nostril: a sharp pinch and a watering eye — a reflex, not pain. Septum: pressure for a second, with the same tear. Both are over before you've thought about it.
Jewellery and changing
The first piece is always titanium or surgical steel. On the nose, size matters twice over: a stud that's too short sinks into the swelling, one that's too long catches. After healing we change to a shorter post or a ring — and a ring in the right diameter is one that follows the curve of the nostril without sticking out.
Nostril or septum?+
A nostril is always visible, subtly. A septum is bolder but can be hidden. Healing: the septum heals faster.
When can I put a ring in my nostril?+
After healing — usually 4–6 months. A ring too early irritates the piercing.
Can I hide a septum?+
Yes — the horseshoe flips up inside the nose and doesn't show.
How much is a nose piercing in Patras?+
Tell us which one — nostril or septum — and we reply with a price, titanium jewellery included.
Does a septum hurt?+
Pressure for a second and a watering eye, from the reflex. After that, nothing.
A bump appeared next to my nostril — is it infected?+
Usually not; it's irritation, very common on the nose. Saline, patience, hands off. Send a photo if you're worried.
Can I get a nostril and a septum together?+
Usually yes. We'll tell you if we'd rather do them in two visits for easier healing.
